Brown Acres Golf Course is one of two municipal golf courses operated by the City of Chattanooga, designed by Gary Weller and opened in 1971. The 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches 6,742 yards from the blue tees, with a course rating of 72.5 and slope of 127. The forward tees play 4,934 yards, making the course accessible to a wide range of golfers.
Located off I-75 near East Brainerd Road West, Brown Acres is one of the more accessible public courses in the Chattanooga area. The course plays over Bermuda grass fairways and greens and is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to sunset with tee times available up to five days in advance.
Municipal pricing makes Brown Acres one of the most affordable rounds in the region. Juniors play weekdays for $5, seniors receive a discounted weekday rate, and all City of Chattanooga residents get a $2 discount on 18-hole green fees. Cart rental is $15 per player.
