Chattanooga Golf & Country Club was established in 1896 and is one of the oldest golf clubs in Tennessee. Located in the Riverview neighborhood five minutes from downtown Chattanooga on the Tennessee River, the club has operated as a private facility throughout its history.
The Donald Ross-designed course was renovated in 2005 by architect Bill Bergin. The 18-hole, par-71 layout stretches 6,702 yards from the championship tees, with a course rating of 75.4 and slope of 132. The course plays with ultra-dwarf Bermuda greens and features three par-fives (holes 4, 7, and 16), with riverside holes from 7 through 9 and a par-three 18th adjacent to the clubhouse.
Chattanooga Golf & Country Club has been ranked among the top 5 courses in Tennessee by Golf Digest and has hosted numerous local, state, and national tournaments. The club offers professional instruction, a junior golf program, and year-round tournament events for members.
