Old Fort Golf Course is a distinguished championship municipal layout designed by Leon Howard and Denis Griffiths that opened in 1985 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This exceptional 18-hole public facility is strategically located along the scenic banks of the Stones River, adjacent to the historic Fortress Rosecrans, a Civil War era earthen fort that adds historical significance to every round.

The challenging 6,980-yard par-72 layout from the black tees represents one of Tennessee's premier public golf experiences, with six different tee options ensuring an enjoyable and fair test for golfers of all skill levels. The course's impressive 73.7 course rating and 139 slope rating from the championship tees reflects its status as a serious championship venue capable of hosting professional and collegiate tournaments.

Old Fort Golf Course has established itself as a premier tournament host, having welcomed prestigious events including PGA Tour Q-School stages, Senior PGA Tour Bell South Qualifiers, and more recently serving as a qualifying site for the Korn Ferry Tour's Simmons Bank Open. The course also regularly hosts USGA Boys and Girls Junior Amateur Qualifiers, Tennessee Golf Association championships, and Tennessee PGA Section tournaments.

Recent significant renovations completed in 2024 have elevated the course to championship standards with comprehensive bunker renovations and complete greens renovation, ensuring optimal playing conditions year-round. The facility features two expansive 8,000 square foot putting and chipping greens, along with a driving range restricted to irons only, providing comprehensive practice opportunities for serious golfers.
